CUBS/WALLER RENEW LONGSTANDING RIVALRY

The Brenham Cubs look to even their record at 1-1 tonight, as they travel to Waller to take on their longtime rivals, the Bulldogs.

The Cubs fell last week in their opener to Magnolia West, 61-21, while the Bulldogs lost to Bryan, 20-10.

Cubs’ head coach Eliot Allen says after a disappointing opener, the Cubs had a really spirited week of practice…

When the Cubs and Bulldogs take the field tonight, Coach Allen says Waller is expected to run an offense you don’t see much anymore…

Allen says the thing he wants to see most of all tonight is a reduction in turnovers…

Kickoff at Bulldog Stadium in Waller is set for 7:30.  The game can be heard on AM-1280 KWHI, FM-101.7 and www.kwhi.com, beginning with the Pre-game Show at 7:00.
