TWO ARRESTED IN BRENHAM OVER WEEKEND FOR DRUG POSSESSION

  

Brenham Police made two controlled substance arrests this weekend.

Friday afternoon, around 1:30 p.m., Corporal Hunter Andras conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 3900 block of US Highway 290 West.

Investigation of the vehicle revealed that the passenger, 35-year-old Angela Lynn Thompson of Houston, was in possession of methamphetamines.  Thompson was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.

Then Sunday evening, at around 6 p.m., Corporal Jonathan Phipps was called out to the 2200 block of South Market Street, in response to a suspicious vehicle.

Upon contact with the subject, 29-year-old Cody Wayne Hoefelmeyer of Brenham, it was discovered that he was in possession of drug paraphernalia, methamphetamines, and prescription pills.  Hoefelmeyer was also arrested and taken to the Washington County Jail.
