Authorities claim 21-year old Johnny Roman Leon III was hired by Nicolas Shaughnessy his father, Theodore.
Nicolas Shaughnessy was indicted last month by a Travis County grand jury on a capital murder charge.
Shaughnessy's wife, Jaclyn Edison, is accused of participating in the plot but has not yet been indicted.
She is free on bond, facing a charge of solicitation to commit capital murder.
Theodore Shaughnessy was shot to death in his home March 2nd. His wife, Corey was not injured.
Investigators say Nicolas Shaughnessy may have been looking to receive $8 million from a combination of life insurance payouts and the sale of his parents' home and jewelry business.
