CLYDESDALES TOUR THROUGH DOWNTOWN BRENHAM RAINED OUT

The Budweiser Clydesdales delivery trip around Downtown Brenham was rained out Thursday evening, and according to Mike Hopkins Distributing, there are currently no plans to reschedule it.  A large crowd of onlookers gathered before the scheduled 6:00 PM start time of the deliveries to downtown restaurants, but a heavy rain forced them to find cover, while the Clydesdales stayed dry in their trailers.  When the rain lightened up, the crowds were allowed to pet and take photos with the horses.  The crew from Budweiser attempted to hitch up the Clydesdales for an abbreviated tour through downtown, but the heavy rain returned, forcing them to cancel the event.  The Clydesdales can still be viewed at the Washington County Fair where they are scheduled to hitch up and open the Rodeo both Friday and Saturday evenings.

Fans take photos with the Clydesdales Thursday, before the rains returned.
