BRENHAM MAN GETS 21-YEAR SENTENCE FOR DRUG CHARGES

  

A Brenham man has been sentenced to a long prison term after he pleaded guilty to a slew of charges Monday in District Court.

46-year old Chadd Duane Medford of Brenham was sentenced to 22 years in prison on the most serious charges: two counts of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled substance.

Medford was one of ten Washington County residents arrested in a massive narcotics investigation conducted by Brenham Police, the Brenham Crime Reduction Unit and the local District Attorney’s office.

Medford was also sentenced to 12 years in prison for Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity; 10 years for Possession of a Controlled Substance—a Third Degree Felony, 414 days in jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance—a State Jail Felony and 405 days for another Possession of a Controlled Substance charge.

The guilty plea avoids a jury trial that had been scheduled to begin Monday.
