BLINN TAKING APPLICATIONS FOR TRUSTEE POSITION
The Blinn College Board is taking applications for the vacant Precinct 4 board position.
After meeting Tuesday night in executive session, board members decided to begin a public application process for the position, beginning this (Wednesday) morning at 8 a.m.
Applications must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday, October 12th.
Interested applicants can visit Room 317 of the Brenham Campus Administration Building and speak with Laurie Clark, Special Assistant to the Board of Trustees and Chancellor.
Clark will provide an application packet, and will take completed applications.
Applicant packets should include a résumé and cover letter.
To be qualified for the position, applicants must live in Washington County Precinct 4, be a U.S. citizen 18 or older with no convictions, and must be registered to vote in Washington County.
The Precinct 4 position became vacant, after former trustee Stacy Aschenbeck resigned from the board on Friday, saying she wanted to spend more time with her family.
The board will look at all applications and select an appointee at a future meeting.
Completed applications should be submitted to:
