OUTSTANDING SCHOOL BOARD TO BE NAMED THIS WEEKEND
This weekend, the Brenham School Board will travel to Austin, to see if it will be named as 2018’s premier school board.
Brenham ISD is one of five finalists across the state for Outstanding School Board, from the Texas Association of School Administrators.
BISD, along with Community, Grapevine-Colleyville, Lamar, and Medina Valley, will go to Austin this weekend for the TASA/TASB Convention.
The boards will be given final interviews in front of a selection committee, made up of Texas school superintendents.
In the convention’s second general session this Saturday, one board will be named Outstanding School Board, with recognition of the other Honor Boards and regional winners following.
Each of the boards was selected by the committee based on several factors, including commitment to ethics, support for educational performance and improvement projects.
People are invited to come send off the Brenham school board tomorrow (Thursday) at 5 p.m., at the Central Office.
*Congratulations to BISD staff as a whole. I wish y’all the best of luck and come home with some gold metals or a+ rating because the c+ that was awarded is way below the rating you deserved as a whole.
The BISD staff from top to bottom is and has been doing a great job in my opinion. We are very lucky to have the higher educated in charge very personal when it comes to everything from talking on the phone, e-mailing or seeing each other in HEB, Walmart, or Mc Donald’s etc.
They all say hello or hi how’s everything going the family good and so on. I’m just pointing out my experiences so if you haven’t been on a personal level I suggest you give it a try, you will be very pleased! It doesn’t cost anything to say hi or what can I do to help out with anything. Thanks
