The Brenham School Board was unable to take home top honors at this past weekend’s Texas Association of School Boards meeting in Austin.

The Grapevine-Colleyville Board of Trustees was named the top school board in Texas at the convention, while Brenham, Community, Lamar Consolidated and Medina Valley ISDs boards were honored as finalists.  16 other school boards were given recognition for regional honors.

Each of the boards were evaluated on their commitment to ethics, along with their support for educational improvement projects and performance.

Dr. Walter Jackson says Brenham’s trustees enjoyed celebrating the board’s accomplishments over the weekend at the conference.  He adds that they are incredibly proud of their commitment to the students and staff of Brenham ISD.
