FOREIGN TEACHERS’ VISIT TO BRENHAM SCHOOLS BACK ON FOR WEDNESDAY

Update #2: Brenham ISD Communications Director Jessica Johnston has stated the school has worked it out with the visitors from China to be on campuses tomorrow (Wednesday), at the same times as originally listed.  The school thanks everyone for their patience.

Update: The visit of several teachers from China to Brenham Elementary Schools has been cancelled.  According to Brenham ISD Communications Director Jessica Johnston, the group missed its flight, and the school was unable to find a schedule to accommodate the change in arrival.  Currently, there are no plans to reschedule.

Original Story: Several teachers from China will be visiting Brenham ISD tomorrow (Wednesday).

Tomorrow morning, Vivian Lee from Omega International, along with her China and U.S. teaching teams, will visit Krause and Brenham Elementary Schools.

The group was initially scheduled to come visit the elementary schools today (Tuesday), but an unexpected delay forced them to reschedule to tomorrow morning.

They will observe several Brenham teachers in action, as part of a project they are working on with young children in China.  Lee’s joint team is currently working in China in a community of 600,000 people, teaching Chinese students English.

Lee’s team will first go to Brenham Elementary to watch Emily Schulte and her first grade class, from 8:15 to 8:30 a.m.  They will then head to the kindergarten class of Heather Deramus from 8:35 to 8:50 a.m.  Following that, they will take a tour of the Brenham Elementary campus from 8:50 to 9 a.m., before traveling to Krause Elementary.

After arriving at Krause Elementary, the team will observe as Kim Kwiatkowski teaches her first grade class from 9:10 to 9:25 a.m.  They will then go to Shelby Parker’s second grade class from 9:30 to 9:45 a.m.  They will conclude with a tour of the Krause Elementary campus, from 9:45 to 10 a.m.
