WASHINGTON CO. TO HOST ‘KEEP TEXAS BEAUTIFUL’ FALL SWEEP
Brenham and Washington County residents are invited to participate in a fall cleanup event Sunday, October 14th.
The Keep Texas Beautiful and Keep Washington County Beautiful Fall Sweep cleanup will take place on the 14th from 9am-11am as part of a statewide campaign.
The Keep Texas Beautiful Fall Sweep is a program to support the efforts of affiliates, nonprofits, volunteers, corporations, scout groups and communities to organize fall cleanups. It will also serve as the Ocean Conservancy’s inland International Coastal Cleanup effort in Texas.
Fall Sweep activities include a variety of projects including: beautifying parks and recreation areas, cleaning up watershed areas and picking up litter in school districts.
Keep Washington County Beautiful is partnering with members of the Texas GeoCaching Association, who will be visiting Brenham for the weekend for the Lone Star Round-Up, to clean up the area of US Hwy 290 and BUS 36.
