CEREMONY HONORING BUDDY WRIGHT TUESDAY
Brenham American Legion Post 48 will hold a ceremony tomorrow (Tuesday) morning in honor of a World War I veteran from Washington County.
Tomorrow marks the 100th anniversary of the death of Buddy Wright, one of the first from Washington County to be killed in the war.
Post Commander Bill Kendall will give a speech honoring Wright. An American flag will be presented to Anthony Wright, the nephew of Buddy Wright.
The ceremony will also recognize all 43 from the county that gave their lives in the war.
The ceremony will be held at 11 a.m., in the American Legion Hall at Fireman’s Park, on 903 North Park Street.
