WINNERS ANNOUNCED FOR 2018 SCARECROW EXTRAVAGANZA
The votes are in, and downtown Brenham has new winners in the annual Scarecrow Extravaganza.
Over a thousand ballots were turned in during this year’s contest.
The Grand Prize Winner of $250 from KWHI and KTEX-106 is: Citadel Christian School’s “Mr. and Mrs. Potatohead”.
An additional “Judge’s Pick” Prize of $200 was awarded to Girl Scout Troop #355, for their “Cocoa Mint” scarecrow.
The next top 5 voted scarecrows, who will each win $150 from one of this year’s sponsors, are:
- The Boys and Girls Club of Washington County, with “Spud”.
- Grace Lutheran School, with “Martin Luther’s 95 Theses”.
- Anyiah and Zoey Vela, with “Pooh”.
- Performance Health and Wellness, with “The Crackin’ Sanderson Sisters”.
- And the scarecrow entry from Anchor Club of Brenham.
This year’s sponsors include KTEX-106 and KWHI, The Canyon Chick, Must Be Heaven, Tres Chic Boutique, Day Start Christian Bookstore, and Hermann Furniture. Main Street Brenham thanks all of the sponsors that made this event possible.
