BRENHAM HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS RECOGNIZED IN NATIONAL MERIT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Two Brenham High School students have been named Commended Students in the 2019 National Merit Scholarship Program.
Michael Lehmann and Zebulon McCorkle were each presented a letter of commendation from the school and the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), which conducts the program.
This year, about 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their academic potential.
Commended Students placed among the top 50,000 scorers on the 2017 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. More than 1.6 million students entered the competition.
The NMSC says these students “represent a valuable national resource”, and they hope this recognition gives them more academic opportunities in the future.
