EARLY VOTING CONTINUING AT BRISK PACE

Voters continued to turn out in droves on the second day of early voting in Washington County.

Washington County Clerk Beth Rothermel says 1,226 voters cast ballots on Tuesday.  This brings the two day total from in-person voters to 2,518.

Monday set the single day record for most ballots cast in a day of early voting, at 1,292.

Rothermel adds that, despite the rainy morning, people continued to file in to place their votes.

Early voting continues through next week at the Washington County Courthouse Annex.  Hours through the rest of this week are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, and noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday.  There will also be two days of extended voting next Monday and Tuesday, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
