AUTO ACCIDENT AT BLUEBONNET ELECTRIC SUBSTATION IN LYONS

  

A single-vehicle accident was reported at the Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative substation in Lyons early this (Thursday) morning.

According to Bluebonnet Public Affairs Manager Will Holford, a car ran off the road into the substation on State Highway 36 in Burleson County.  The car ended up between the legs of an a-frame structure at the station.

Holford says the driver did not hit any energized equipment, and there were no power outages in the area.  It is unknown if the driver sustained injuries.

Emergency and Bluebonnet crews are currently at the scene.  Drivers should proceed with caution when driving through the area.
