EARLY VOTING TURNOUT DIPS WEDNESDAY

  

Early voting dropped off on Wednesday from its previous rapid pace in Washington County.

County Clerk Beth Rothermel says there were 899 ballots cast on Wednesday.  Through three days, 3,417 voters have cast ballots in person.

Monday and Tuesday were the first and second-highest single days for early voting turnout in Washington County, at 1,292 and 1,226, respectively.

Early voting continues at the Washington County Courthouse Annex through next Friday.  Hours for today (Thursday) and tomorrow (Friday) are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Saturday, the annex will run 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 3 p.m.  In addition, there will be extended hours on Monday and Tuesday, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
