A local fundraiser for the Brazos Valley Food Bank is set for Friday afternoon in Brenham.

Lydia’s House on South Baylor St. will be hosting the First Annual Empty Bowls Brenham event to help feed the hungry.

Local artisans have donated handmade and hand-painted clay bowls, while local restaurants donate soup and bread.  The public is then invited to drop by, donate $15 per adult and $10 per child, then select a bowl and enjoy a meal of soup and bread.

Donors may then keep the bowls as a souvenir.

There will also be live entertainment and a silent auction.
