EARLY VOTING SLOWS WEDNESDAY IN WASHINGTON COUNTY

  

Wednesday saw the lightest day of early voting so far in Washington County.

County Clerk Beth Rothermel says 434 ballots were cast on Wednesday.  So far, in-person ballots have been counted at 7,478, which she notes does not include ballots by mail.  Those have until Election Day to arrive at the courthouse.

Rothermel attributed the smaller turnout to the weather, saying voters started filing in once weather cleared out in in the afternoon.

Today (Thursday) and tomorrow (Friday) are the last days of early voting.  The Courthouse Annex will be open both days, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
