ELECTION DAY IS HERE

Election Day has arrived, and voters have one last chance today (Tuesday) to stop by the polls and place their ballots.

Out of the 23,242 registered voters in Washington County, 8,677 submitted early in-person ballots, over 37 percent. By-mail ballots have until today to arrive at the County Courthouse.

County Clerk Beth Rothermel says so far today, turnout at each of the voting locations across Washington County has been "steady", but not "busy".  She also says this is the most early voters the county has ever had for a mid-term, gubernatorial election.

There will be fifteen polling locations available in Washington County today, open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.  Note that voting is not taking place at the Washington County Courthouse Annex.

You can find those locations below, or on the county website, www.co.washington.tx.us.

If a voter is not sure of where to go, they can call the courthouse at 979-277-6200.

KWHI will have live coverage of election results, beginning at 7 p.m. tonight.

In addition to the state-wide races, there are several local races in and around Washington County:
