BLINN PERFORMING ARTS PRESENTING ‘A CHRISTMAS CAROL’

Blinn College will soon be bringing a holiday classic to the Dr. W.W. O’Donnell Performing Arts Center.

On December 2nd, Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” will take center stage.  First published in 1843, the tale tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge as he is greeted by the Christmas Spirits of Past, Present, and Future.

This adaptation by 40-year theater veteran Scott Severance mixes 26 classic carols throughout the performance, along with puppetry, humor, and a timeless message.

Individual tickets for the show are $35, with $15 tickets available for children 10 and under.  Blinn employees and groups of ten or more can buy discounted $30 tickets, and student rush tickets are $10.

Single reception tickets will be available up to five days before the show, for $20.  For tickets, visit www.blinn.edu/performing-arts-series, or call 979-830-4024.

In conjunction with the show, Blinn’s Division of Visual/Performing Arts and Kinesiology will host a toy drive, in support of CASA for Kids.  Guests are encouraged to drop off items at the O’Donnell Center, including gift cards and beds-in-a-bag.  CASA for Kids advocates for the best interests of abused and neglected children in court, through the training and support of community volunteers.
