The daughter of an Austin County Jail Lieutenant has been awarded a $500 scholarship.

The Sheriff’s Association of Texas recently awarded the Sheriff J.W. Jankowski Memorial Scholarship to Brooke Kmiec, daughter of Rebecca Kmiec.  Rebecca is a Jail Lieutenant for the Austin County Sheriff’s Office.

Brooke, a 2017 graduate of Cy-Fair High School, is currently a junior at Texas A&M University, pursuing a career in Biomedical Science.
