MONDAY FINAL DAY TO ORDER PAVERS FOR ST. JOHN’S 125TH ANNIVERSARY
Today (Monday) is the last day to turn in orders for brick pavers at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Burton.
The sales are part of a fundraising effort to celebrate the church’s 125th anniversary. The church is creating a cross and brick scape for the front lawn, and it is selling brick pavers for $50. There is no limit on the amount of bricks that can be purchased.
The church asks that orders be submitted today, so the project can be dedicated in time for the church’s anniversary.
Church officials encourage anyone who was baptized, confirmed or married through the church, as well as current and past members, to purchase a brick or have a brick purchased for someone else.
Bricks can also be purchased to memorialize someone, as they have three lines with 18 spaces to bear a message.
Order forms can be picked up at St. John’s office in Burton, at 516 North Colorado Street, or at Judith’s Salon at 1811 South Market Street in Brenham.
The pavers are being designed by Ryan Pape of PapeScapes.
