STABBING SUSPECT ARRESTED IN WASHINGTON CO. AFTER PURSUIT

  

Update @ 3:05: Officials with the Brenham Police Department say they are working on finishing up the remainder of the investigation, and will release more information Wednesday morning.  They have refused to release the name of the suspect that is currently in custody.

Original Story: Authorities in Washington County have arrested a suspect connected to a stabbing Monday night in Brenham.

A post from the Blinn College Facebook page said the stabbing occurred at Brenham Park Apartments on College Avenue, near the campus.

Brenham police began pursuing the suspect, who was driving a white 2010 Chevy truck.  According to scanner traffic, the chase ended near Gay Hill along FM 390, east of State Highway 36.

Police, along with Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies and DPS troopers, took the suspect into custody around 7:40 p.m., after he rammed a gate on private property.

The name of the suspect has not been released.  However, he is described as a black male, 6’2” and 270 pounds.
