Mahon, who just wrapped up his third season as Blinn’s head coach, will join junior college football coaches Jeff Fischer, Cliff Collins and Donald White in the Junior College General Session from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Room 214 on Monday, Jan. 7. Mahon and White will go head-to-head in Chalk Wars. Mahon will discuss offensive schemes and plays in given situations, while White will discuss defense.

“I am excited about the opportunity to speak about football, while representing Blinn College at the AFCA convention,” Mahon said. “Coaching offense is something that I have done my entire career and what I am passionate about.”

In three seasons as Blinn’s head coach Mahon has led the Buccaneers to two playoff berths, a Southwest Junior College Football Conference ( SWJCFC) co-championship and two bowl games. Blinn finished the season ranked 15th in the nation with a 7-4 record after defeating then-ranked No. 14 Scottsdale in the Valley of the Sun Bowl.
