GAS PRICES CONTINUE TO FALL

  

Gas prices continue to fall, locally and across the nation.

The statewide average gas price in Texas is $1.93 for a gallon of regular unleaded fuel, four cents less than last week and 32 cents less than a year ago.

According to the AAA Texas, the local average for a gallon of gas is at 1.96 in Washington County.

Of the major metropolitan areas in Texas, drivers in Midland are paying the most on average at $2.49 while drivers in Amarillo and Sherman/Denison are paying the least at $1.80 per gallon.

The national average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is $2.25, which is five cents less than this day last week and 24 cents less than the price per gallon at this same time last year.

Texas retail gasoline prices have been dropping since mid-October due to falling crude oil prices.
