BRENHAM SCHOOL BOARD TO REVIEW SUPERINTENDENT
The Brenham School Board will look to review Superintendent Dr. Walter Jackson’s performance during an executive session tomorrow (Tuesday) night.
Trustees will consider Dr. Jackson’s compensation and benefits package. Last year, Dr. Jackson’s contract was extended through June of 2023. He has been Brenham ISD’s Superintendent since April of 2015.
Also on the agenda, the board is expected to release the 2019-20 district instructional calendar. In addition, trustees will view the past school year’s district financial audit conducted by Belt Harris Pechacek, an auditing firm based out of Houston.
Trustees will also look to set up a school board election for May 4th. In addition, they will consider a potential memo of understanding or inter-local agreement with a local facility or other government entity.
The board will also hear the district’s Texas Academic Performance Report. Following that, the board will hear an update from Dr. Jackson on the 86th Legislature, and a disaster recovery plan from the Washington County Appraisal District.
The school board will meet tomorrow evening at 6 p.m., in rooms 111 and 113 at Brenham High School.
