GAS PRICES CLIMBING ACROSS TEXAS

  

Gas prices have begun to climb back up in Texas.

The average price of a gallon of regular unleaded fuel in the state is now $1.99, according to the AAA Texas Weekend Gas Watch.  That price is six cents more per gallon than this day last week, and 34 cents less than this day last year.

In Brenham, the average price is slightly higher at $2.02, with a low of $1.96 and a high of $2.10.

Of the major metropolitan areas surveyed in Texas, drivers in Midland are paying the most on average at $2.45, while drivers in Lubbock are paying the least at $1.90 per gallon.

Meanwhile, the national average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is $2.27, three cents more than this day last week, and 29 cents less than the price per gallon at this time last year.
