DEADLINE TO PAY PROPERTY TAXES THURSDAY
The deadline to submit payment for property taxes is approaching fast.
Thursday is the last day to turn in payment, without accruing late fees.
Washington County Chief Appraiser Willy Dilworth says payments need to be postmarked by Thursday, in order to receive credit for timely payment. Payment can also be done online at http://washingtoncad.org, but note there is a convenience fee of roughly 3-percent.
If you are not able to pay the balance all at once, Dilworth says partial payments will be accepted.
Dilworth says to make sure not to come into the office at the last minute.
