TWO BRENHAM SWIMMERS QUALIFY FOR STATE
The Brenham High School Swim team will be sending two athletes to the State meet.
Friday and Saturday, at the Region meet, Friday and Saturday.
The Cubettes finished 7th in the team standings, while the Cubs finished 12th overall.
Shayle Woods set the school record in the 200 and 500. Sarah Kirby set the school record in the 100 breaststroke and the 400 free relay was also a school record.
Woods qualified for the State meet, Friday and Saturday, February 15 and 16, at the Jamial Swim Center at the University of Texas.
Woods finished sixth in the 500 freestyle in a time of 5:16. 68, qualifying for State. While Mac Naylor qualified for State in the 100 breaststroke by finishing fifth in a time of 1:01.32.
