WASHINGTON MAN ARRESTED AFTER STABBING MONDAY

  

Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies have taken a man into custody, following a stabbing attack Monday evening.

24-year-old Kendrick Ray Armstead of Washington was arrested Monday after the attack, which was reported just after 5:45 p.m. in the 20000 block of Washington Bridge Road.  The victim was reported to have been stabbed multiple times.

Deputies learned upon their arrival that the victim had left the scene, and was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bryan.

Armstead was found at the location, who told deputies that he and the victim got into a physical altercation, and he had stabbed the victim several times with a steak knife.

Armstead was taken to the Washington County Jail, where he was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.  He remains in custody, on $50,000 bond.

The victim was treated and released for non-life threatening injuries sustained during the attack.
