BRENHAM MAN FACES FIREARM CHARGE AFTER ARREST

A Friday afternoon traffic stop resulted in a firearms arrest.
33-year old Brian Thomas Welch of Brenham was pulled over shortly after 1:00 p.m., in the 1300 block of Shepard Street.
According to police, Welch had a firearm in his vehicle.
Welch was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail where he was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon—a third degree felony.
