BRENHAM REPS. TO CONTINUE DISCUSSION ON COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE THURSDAY
Several Brenham agencies are set to meet again Thursday to discuss the city’s comprehensive plan.
The Brenham City Council, Planning and Zoning Commission, and Board of Adjustment will all meet in work session to continue talks on an update to the comprehensive plan.
The purpose of this workshop will look to focus in on priorities and a direction for the plan, as well as feedback on potential future population assumptions.
Officials from the planning firm Kendig Keast Collaborative have hosted several activities over the past few months, including an initial joint workshop in December of 2018, a meeting with a comprehensive plan advisory committee, and a town hall meeting in January which drew overflow attendance.
The city’s previous activities and workshops have served as a foundation for the plan detailing the city’s current conditions, according to Assistant Development Services Director Stephanie Doland. Moving forward, these meetings will focus on the future of the city in 20 to 40 years.
The meeting is open to the public, and will be held Thursday at 11 a.m., at City Hall. There will also be an open house meeting discussing Brenham’s future Thursday night, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Barnhill Center.
