(Washington Co. Jail)
Four men have been indicted by the latest Washington County Grand Jury, in connection to the shooting incident last November at the Valero Station in Brenham.
(Washington Co. Jail)
27-year-old John Thomas Howard, 33-year-old Rodney Rayonn Tates, 24-year-old Tyrin Hunter – each of Brenham – and 18-year-old Kelvin Levi, Jr. of Washington were all indicted Tuesday for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Howard was also indicted on a charge of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.

The charges stem from an incident on November 18th, when police were called out to a shooting in progress at the gas station on Highway 105.
Police reported an altercation began at a private party at the American Legion Hall on North Park Street, then spilled over to the station where the shooting took place. No one was struck by the ensuing gunfire.

Also indicted for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon was 24-year-old Deadrius Walker of Washington.
Walker was arrested December 19th in south Houston, after a joint effort involving Brenham police and U.S. Marshalls.

This “thug” mentality that is so prevalent in the youth of today is just down-right disgusting. The music and rappers that these young people glorify is a PERSONA!! The artist DO NOT live that life’ – it is all for show to make THEM money – they put on a show for you and then go to their million dollar houses – that you poor, misinformed people pay for – and they live lovely. You – in turn – duplicate what you hear, see,and believe to be what’s happening and you don’t live lovely at all – you wind up behind bars – EVERY TIME! INSANITY – doing the same thing over and over hoping for different results!
WoW! – *Very well said and thanks for letting this post go through because it’s the truth! If the public doesn’t catch on to the drugs, crime snd illegal activity in Brenham then drive around today and stop at a few local places you normally don’t visit and make a difference in the community. Thanks
There are plenty of rappers out there that live the life. It’s how the music world lost Tupac and Biggie too soon. The Houston music scene, like it or not, has lists of artists that were killed because of the lack of separation between reality and art.
But, look up President Obama and Stef Curry’s recent remarks at an event out in CA about this very topic. The “fix” comes from children learning early what success is, and that it can be achieved outside of this caricaturized paradigm.
Did Stephen Paddock listen to rap music? What about Jared Loughner? Rap music doesn’t have anything to do with crime.
most of these people are young adults are their lives so bad that they have to turn to drugs and alcohol to escape reality seems like the younger generation just doesn’t have the ambition to get ahead in life anymore
Dont these repeat offenders get tired of the system? I know the system must be getting tired of them! Drugs are destroying lives in washington co… Arent half of y’all old enough to know better but they havent learned yet?? Its pathetic grown people throw their lives away and no change…
WoW! This town sure has a lot of drugs and crime going on! It seems like the kids, teenagers, adults have some serious problems or are they just that bored with life that they don’t look to the future.
I know there’s not a lot of stuff or places to go except bars and restaurants but get involved in something positive and make a difference in your life but more importantly maybe the life of a stranger. Stay positive and good much to all families!
