TWO MEN ARRESTED IN BRENHAM FOR ASSAULT

Two men were arrested in Brenham over the weekend in separate assault cases.
Friday night, at around 9:30 p.m., Sergeant Joseph Merkley was called to the 2900 block of Wood Ridge Boulevard in reference to an assault. Investigation revealed the suspect, 32-year-old Brandon O’Neil Robert of Austin, had assaulted the victim numerous times.
Robert was arrested and taken to the Washington County Jail, on charges of Assault of a Family Member Impeding Breath or Circulation, Continuous Violence Against the Family, and Possession of Marijuana under Two Ounces.

Sunday morning, just before 9:30 a.m., Officer Alex Saenz responded to the 500 block of Church Street for a disturbance. Investigation determined that 59-year-old Johnnie Earl McKissack of Brenham assaulted the victim.
McKissack was placed into custody and taken to the Washington County Jail, where he was booked in for Assault Family Violence.
