BURLESON COUNTY THROWDOWN THURSDAY NIGHT IN CALDWELL
Food fanatics should consider making their way to Caldwell Thursday for the 2nd Annual Burleson County Throwdown.
The cooking competition gets underway Thursday afternoon at 6 p.m., at the Burleson County Expo Center in Caldwell. Teams will be asked to cook up a dish in 30 minutes from a basket of unknown ingredients. Those dishes will be judged based on appearance and taste.
Adding to the evening’s festivities is the annual Taste of Burleson County. Five Burleson County restaurants will have samples for the public to cast votes on for best presentation and best tasting dish.
Entry is $5, which covers both events. Children 3-years-old and under get in free. Doors to the Expo Center will open around 5 p.m., with the event lasting until 9 p.m.
Currently, there are 10 teams signed up for the Throwdown. To enter, or to learn more, call the Burleson County Chamber of Commerce at 979-567-0000, or visit www.burlesoncountytx.com.
