FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHES AUTO FIRE
The Brenham Fire Department extinguished a small engine fire in a vehicle, Monday afternoon.
Just after 12:00, firefighters were called to the intersection of South Market and Tom Green, near Church’s Chicken, to a vehicle fire.
At the scene, they found smoking coming from the engine compartment of an SUV.
Firefighters used water from their tanker to extinguish the fire and contain the damage to the engine compartment. They blocked off the intersection until the vehicle could be removed.
No one was injured in the incident.
