MOTORCYCLIST KILLED IN GRIMES CO.

  

Update @ 11:37 a.m.: The victim has been identified as 65-year-old Nathan Monk of Houston.  The driver of the truck, Gary Vela of Beeville, was uninjured.

Original Story @ 7:42 a.m.: A motorcyclist is dead after an accident Wednesday night in Grimes County.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene after he reportedly tried to make a U-turn in front of an on-coming semi on SH 30 west of FM 244 near the Carlos community.

The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.  His name has not been released.

The Department of Public Safety and Grimes Co. Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the accident scene.

The driver of the truck was not injured.
