BRENHAM RESIDENT FACES DEPORTATION HEARING
A Brenham man has been sentenced to six months in jail after pleading guilty in 21st District Court, Thursday.
28-year old Mario Enrique Chavez pleaded guilty to Deadly Conduct – a Class A Misdemeanor.
Chavez was arrested in October of last year, after allegedly threatening the victim with a weapon.
An INS detainer has also been placed on Chavez. He will be transported to a Federal detention facility for a deportation hearing.
Also in District Court, Tuesday, 48-year old Penelope April Crabb of Somerville, pleaded guilty to two charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Crabb was placed on 10 years’ probation, fined $1000 and ordered to perform 120 hours of community service.
