OVER 800 CAST EARLY VOTES IN BRENHAM

  

Over 800 people cast ballots in the first week of early voting for next Saturday’s election.

According to County Clerk Beth Rothermel 192 voted in the Blinn election, Friday, and 153 voted in the City of Brenham election.

Through the first five days, 712 people have voted in the City Election, and 870 in the Blinn Election.

Early voting continues Monday and Tuesday with extended hours.  Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., allowing voters an opportunity to cast their ballots after they get off work.

Early voting is taking place at the Washington County Courthouse annex.

Rothermel said voters in the City of Brenham election that wait until Election Day may have to go to two places to cast ballots in both elections.  Voting early will avoid that issue.
