BJHS STUDENT RECEIVES GAMECHANGERS SCHOLARSHIP TO ATTEND YOUTH LEADERSHIP EVENT

A Brenham Junior High student has received a $1000 scholarship to attend an upcoming leadership event in Houston.

Seventh-grader Sofia Martinez received the scholarship from Brenham GameChangers, in order to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum: Explore STEM at Rice University in June.

Martinez is currently enrolled in the AVID program at Brenham Junior High.  She was selected to attend this youth leadership event based on her academic potential, as well as her interest in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
