The ceremony, beginning at 6:30 p.m., will recognize 756 graduates, including 281 reverse transfer graduates. Reverse transferring allows students who completed Blinn’s residency requirements before transferring to a four-year university to apply credits the earned at the university to their associate degree.
To check eligibility, Blinn alumni should contact their four-year institution and ask for their transcript to be sent to Blinn, then visit www.blinn.edu/graduation to complete the reverse transfer graduation application.
Blinn’s commencement ceremony will feature two student speakers – Isaiah Edwards from the Brenham Campus and Mindi Maly from the Bryan Campus.

A Houston native, Edwards joined the Theatre Arts Program at Blinn in Fall 2016, where he has been named to the Chancellor’s Honor Roll for five straight semesters and served in a variety of student organizations. He plans to continue his studies in the fall at the University of St. Thomas, where he will pursue a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts.
A 1997 graduate of Madisonville High School, Maly began her career in healthcare as a licensed vocational nurse in 2001. Maly is president of the Organization for Associate Degree Nursing Alpha Delta Nu Honor Society, an active member of the Blinn College Nursing Students Association, and a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
Registration is now open for the Blinn College District’s May Minimester, Summer and Fall semesters. For enrollment information, or to learn about financial aid opportunities, visit www.blinn.edu.
