TORNADO WATCH IN EFFECT FOR AREA COUNTIES UNTIL 11 P.M.
Tornado watches have been issued for a large portion of southeastern Texas through this (Wednesday) evening, with a confirmed tornado located earlier this afternoon near the Easterwood Airport in College Station.
Just before 2:30 p.m., a tornado was located near the airport, moving east at 30 mph. The tornado was confirmed by law enforcement, as the storm moved from the Snook community across the Brazos River into southern Brazos County.
The tornado watch, originally in effect until 8 p.m., is now in effect until 11 p.m. for 11 counties, including Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, and Washington Counties.
A tornado watch indicates favorable conditions for severe weather and the potential for tornadoes.
