BLINN BOARD TO SWEAR IN TRUSTEES

  

The Blinn Board will swear in two new trustees and one returning member at its meeting tonight (Tuesday).

The board will administer oaths to Dennis Crowson, Jim Kolkhorst, and Charles Moser.  Crowson defeated H.F. Poehlmann for the At-Large Position Three seat, while Kolkhorst ran unopposed for At-Large Position Two.  Current Board Chair Charles Moser was uncontested for At-Large Position One.

Each of the positions are six-year terms.  The board will also elect officers for two-year terms.

The board will also consider awarding a contract to Collier Construction for a new agricultural complex on the Brenham Campus.  Collier Construction’s total bid of $1,278,310 was the lowest out of the five contractors that submitted proposals for the project.

In addition, the board will look to seek proposals for furniture, fixtures and equipment for the new agriculture building.

The board will meet this afternoon at 6 p.m., in the Brenham Campus Administration Building.
