AMERICAN LEGION HALL TO HOST MEMORIAL DAY PROGRAM IN BRENHAM

  

The community will gather Monday to honor fallen United States military members at the Annual Memorial Day Service in Brenham.

The program, hosted by the combined Veterans’ organizations in Washington County, will begin at 11 a.m. at the American Legion Hall on North Park Street.

Washington County Veterans Association President Ben Seeker said Memorial Day is a day to thank those in the military that made the ultimate sacrifice.

 

 

Monday’s event will be emceed by Washington County Veterans Service Officer Eric Posern.

County Court-at-Law Judge Eric Berg will deliver Monday’s speech.  Berg will speak about his family’s history in the military, including his grandfather who served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and the Air Force in the Pacific theater during World War II.

Seeker said Berg has a true passion and appreciation for those that serve in the military.
