PROJECT GRADUATION SET TO GIVE BHS GRADS A NIGHT TO REMEMBER

Graduation night is one of the most exciting nights in any young adult’s life.  For Brenham High School graduates, Project Graduation is looking to make sure it is indeed a special night.

Project Graduation organizers have set up an all-night lock-in party Saturday night at Horseshoe Junction in Brenham.  Graduates will get to play free games, enjoy food, watch a movie, and win prizes.

Laura Kwiatkowski, this year’s chairman of Brenham’s Project Graduation, said the event started as a national program many years ago, with Brenham picking it up near the turn of this past decade.  She said the event is designed to give seniors a safe place to go and have a fun time.

Registration at Horseshoe Junction begins at 11 p.m. Saturday night and goes through midnight.  Once students come in, the students will have to stay at the party all night.  If, for some reason, they need to leave, they’ll need to call a parent to pick them up, and will not be allowed back in.

Kwiatkowski said there are currently 110 to 120 students signed up to come, with nearly 300 prizes available.  Donations are still being accepted.  To learn more, or to donate, call Kwiatkowski at 979-451-0543.

Brenham’s graduation ceremonies will be held Saturday night at 8 p.m. at Cub Stadium.  KWHI will broadcast the graduation live on AM 1280, FM 101.7, and kwhi.com.
