Faith Mission has announced a new addition to the group of leaders for its summer programs.

Shanae “Missy” Archie, former Blinn basketball standout, has been named the new Faith Mission Summer SMART Coordinator.  Archie will be in charge of overseeing day-to-day activities, coordinating field trips, and supervising staff.

Archie said that on Mondays and Tuesdays, SMART activities will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the SMART House, on the side street from Faith Mission’s main office at 500 East Academy Street in Brenham.  She said kids 5-12 are invited to take part.

Faith Mission also reminds those signed up for the summer trip to Camp Hoblitzelle that orientation is tomorrow (Saturday) from 9 to 10 a.m.  It is being held at the Cannery Kitchen in Brenham on 314 East Alamo Street.

Dahlia Vela with Faith Mission said they annually partner up with Salvation Army to take dozens of children to the summer camp.  She stressed that parents and children need to attend this orientation; otherwise, the child won’t be able to go to camp.
