BRENHAM POLICE ARREST TWO FOR DWI OVER WEEKEND

  

Two people were arrested for Driving While Intoxicated after early morning traffic stops this weekend.  Brenham Police report that Saturday morning at 3:00 AM, Officer Alex Saenz conducted a traffic stop in the 2700 Block of US HWY 290 East. Investigation revealed that the driver, Cesar Martinez Rangel, 28 of Hempstead, was under the influence of alcohol. Rangel was placed in custody and transported to the Washington County Jail where he was booked in for Driving While Intoxicated.

Early Monday morning, at 4:10 AM, Officer Lawrence Garnett conducted a traffic stop in the 2500 block of South Day Street on a vehicle that was failing to maintain a single Lane of Travel. Further investigation revealed the driver Nathan Selman, 18 of Brenham was driving while intoxicated and his passenger Patrick Thomas, 22 of Bellville furnished alcohol to a minor and they were placed in custody.
