BRENHAM, CHAPPELL HILL FIREFIGHTERS EXTINGUISH HAY BALE FIRES

  

The Brenham and Chappell Hill Fire Departments were called Tuesday afternoon to extinguish half a dozen round bales of hay.

Units were dispatched shortly before 12:15 p.m. to the 5900 block of Trackside Road for a report of a grass fire.  When they arrived, they found six round bales on fire.  The burning bales were moved from the unburned ones and extinguished.

Tuesday morning, just before 10:30 a.m., Brenham firefighters were called to the 5500 block of FM 2502 for a transportation incident with entrapment.

Units arrived to find a Dodge truck on its side, with the patient out of the vehicle.  The Latium Fire Department also responded for fluids leaking from the truck.  All Brenham units cleared the scene and returned to service.
