DOWNTOWN BRENHAM GEARING UP FOR “SUMMER SIP”

While Brenham could possibly see some rain this weekend, visitors to downtown are hoping the weather cooperates for the signature “Summer Sip”.

Saturday afternoon from 3 to 6 p.m., guests will have the chance to stroll through downtown and visit the various merchants, sampling all different kinds of wine.

Main Street Manager Caz Muske says if you’re familiar with the “Uptown Swirl” held in the winter, you’re familiar with the “Summer Sip”.

The wine walk also highlights the different establishments downtown, so guests can stop by their favorite stores or visit some new ones.

Muske says she’s looking forward to this year’s Hawaiian theme, in particular.

Commemorative wine glasses are still on sale for $25, and can be purchased at any of the participating “Summer Sip” merchants.  They can also be purchased at the Washington County Visitor’s Center, or online at http://downtownbrenham.com/172/Summer-Sip-Wine-Walk.
