REPORTS: FORMER CUBS’ COACH WILLIAMS HAS NEW JOB
Former Brenham Cubs head baseball coach Lanny Williams reportedly has a new job.
Reports are that Williams is expected to be officially introduced as Cedar Park's next head baseball coach, tonight.
Williams was reassigned after the Cubs failed to make the playoffs for the first time in 36 years.
In six seasons as the Cubs’ head coach, Williams was 161-82 (.665 winning pct.).
Williams won three District Championships in 2014, 2015 and 2017; and advanced to the Region Final in 2017 before falling to State Champion Port Neches-Groves.
The search continues for a new Cubs’ head coach.
